Jeff is the provost of Seattle Pacific University prior to which he was the dean of the SPU School of Business and Economics where he taught business ethics and business law. During his tenure as dean, the School opened its Center for Integrity in Business, launched the annual Social Venture Plan Competition, and began an innovative new graduate program focused on social and sustainable business. 

Jeff's book, Why Business Matters to God, is a must-read on the subject of the theology of business. 

Prior to his tenure at SPU, Jeff earned his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and was a partner with the international law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine where he practiced for more than 20 years. He concentrated his practice in commercial finance and natural resources.

How are kingdom businesses being used to build nations around the world? 

Dr. John Mulford is the director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Regent University and the former dean of the Business School at Regent. John has taught economics, statistics, and management science and currently teaches electives in international entrepreneurship in the PhD program at Regent. He has a particular interest in seeing disadvantaged groups advance through entrepreneurial activity. His students have gone on to start consulting companies in Asia and Africa, a manufacturing business in Egypt, and a specialty coffee company in the U.S. and Latin America. Through his leadership, the Center for Entrepreneurship has setup six Business Development Centers around the world in Uganda, Rwanda, India, South Africa, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso.

With his friend Dr. Walt Larimore, Bill is the co-creator of the continuing medical education courses, Saline Solution and Grace Prescriptions, and has taught healthcare professionals worldwide to effectively speak about faith issues with their patients. Bill holds a doctorate in workplace theology from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and did his undergraduate work at SMU.
