Why is business such a powerful means of making disciples of Jesus? What are some companies around the world that are using their businesses to transform their communities for Christ?

Ken Eldred is currently CEO of Living Stones Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Advisors of Parakletos Ventures. Ken is the co-founder of Inmac, which he built into a $400 million company during his 20 years as the CEO. He has assisted in the founding of several other successful companies, including Ariba Technologies. Ken is involved in ventures in the US, China, Europe and India, and he advises various Kingdom business ventures and ministries. He has an MBA from Stanford and was a Visiting Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution. Ken is the author of God is at Work, The Integrated Life, and coeditor of On Kingdom Business, winner of a 2004 Christianity Today Book Award. Ken and his wife, Roberta, have three sons and spend their time in Northern California and Colorado.

Based on my experience, if you ask a Bible-believing business professional to name a passage of the Bible that relates to doing business, the person will most likely first mention the “Parable of the Talents” (Matthew 25:14-30). Jeff Spadafora spent 20 years as a leadership and executive development consultant for Fortune 1000 companies such as Ford Motor Company, Sears & Roebuck, Compuware, Domino’s Pizza, Visteon, Northern Trust Bank, Helene Curtis, and Sky Chefs. In 2005, he began working as a leadership coach with the Halftime Institute. Since then, he has coached over 130 men and women through the Halftime Journey and continues to make this a primary part of his ministry.
